Good morning SMHS Track family,

The birds are chirping, Spring is closing in and the Track and Field season official opens on Monday!!!  

We are having a clean up day next Sunday, February 15th at 2pm in anticipation of a fantastic season!  Also, we having a Parent Meeting for all athletes this Wed evening (2/11) and a school cast should go out this Sunday with the details. 

Some of the tasks for next Sunday include: blowing the leaves, trim bermuda grass from around the track and throwing rings, edge the long jump runway and pit, replace the jump boards, mark the discus and shot put lines, clean out the shed and bring out the high jump pit and hurdles.  I am sure there is more so many hands make less work.  We have a home meet on March 12th with 6-8 teams already committed.

If you have access to or are willing to bring your own blower, string trimmer or any other favorite yard equipment that will help beautify our track facility it is welcome.

We should be able to knock it out in a couple of hours or less depending on how many we have.
