Summer Practice:
Cross Country summer practice is here! Our first practice is Monday, June 13th at 8:30am in the soccer field pavilion. Our first few practices will not be very long, as the runs the kids are doing are relatively short. Practice will be over around 10:00am. We will meet an additional 3 times during June. We will meet June 16, 20, and 23rd. Once the dead period is over we will meet 5 days a week. The red group schedule is only for EXPERIENCED runners. The black group schedule our entry level schedule that will be used by most of the boys and girls on the team. If you have a question about which schedule your athlete should be following, please let me know.
New Athlete Physicals online system:
Signal Mountain has finally made the jump into the 21st century and adopted a new online based system for all the paperwork that you have to fill out every year. Parents will need to create an account on: https://signalmountaineagles-tn.e-ppe.com/index.jspa and upload all their completed forms to the system. Once they are loaded and approved, coaches will be able to see that the athlete is cleared to practice. I’ve attached the instructions that our athletic trainer Amanda Yother created. Cross Country Camp:
We will be attending the Bryan College Cross Country Camp again this year. This was a great team camp last year where everyone was able to get in lots of running and build some great team comradery. Here is a link to the registration page: http://www.bryanlions.com/2016_Cross_Country_Camp I realize that is says deposits were due by May 31st, but Coach Bradley knows we are coming and bringing our whole team. We are attending session 2: July 25th to 28th. Please register as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please let me know.
