Fall Break Training Schedule

10/7/2016

Parents and Athletes,

Here is the fall break training schedule. We will have practice Tuesday @ 8am. This is a very important workout for everyone. If you cannot attend the team practice do the workout on your own. Text a coach if you have questions. Thursday will be our last CCCL Meet. The meet will be at Heritage HS in Catoosa county. Race times are 5:00, 5:40 and 6:20 as normal. This race is vitally important for varsity runners. The meet will conclude with league championship awards. Saturday, Oct. 15 we will be doing something a little different. We are going to have practice at Cookeville HS in Cookeville, TN. We realize this is a long way to drive to practice, but this will be the location of our Region Championship on October 25th. We ran region here 2 years ago and honestly got our butts kicked, because we weren’t familiar with the course. We will not let that happen again. We will meet at Pruett’s at 7:30am and caravan to Cookeville. Once there the team will do a workout that involves running the course several times to become familiar with it. Afterwards we can all go to lunch somewhere before heading back to SM.

Thank you for all you do to make our team successful.

Lap-A-Thon, August 27, 8am-10am

8/25/2016

Parents, Athletes and Fans,

Here is the volunteer signup sheet for the lap-a-thon. You all did great last year at signing up and helping make the Lap-a-thon successful. We’ll do what we’ve done in previous year and set up a table in the high jump area where athletes can take a break, rehydrate and refuel for more laps! If you sign up to be a lap counter, I’ll be at the finish line to help with names. It’s a pretty easy process. If anyone would like to bring post lap-a-thon breakfast food, that would be good too! I’m sure the kids would really like that. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for all you do!
