The region championship is this Thursday, October 23rd. Please note we are all leaving together as one unit and traveling to Cookeville together. We’ll depart from SMHS at 10:30am EST. Caravanning the whole way with a restroom stop in Sparta. Even though we have 3 separate race groups, we all have to leave at the same time due to insurance and liability constraints. All athletes need to pack a prerace lunch for the road and eat approx. 3 hours before his or her race. If you are unable to provide transportation for your child, please make arrangements with other parents. As you’ll notice in the travel agenda we have built in some cushion time and would rather be early to the race than late. The weather looks fantastic with a high of 64. Even with that warm temperature please make sure your son or daughter brings sweatpants and a sweatshirt to warmup in.
